Those thieves again...
Oh, look what the thieves wrote in my guestbook.

I wonder if they realize that a.) what I write on my journal has no bearing on my website and b.) that in order for it to be libelous, it has to be a lie?

The journal that they are ranting about is this one.

And my reply back to them?

You posted in my guestbook at wargoddess.net a threat to sue me.

Try it. The fact is *you* had my work on my site without proper credit or
permission. I have documentation of *everything*, including all the
emails that I sent you and your host, and the one that I got back from
you.

"Libel" means that it's not true. That you stole my work *is* true.

Damn it. I was so pissed, I made a typo and didn't catch it.

How fucking dare people threated to "sue me for libel" for telling the truth. Fuckers.

While the lawsuit threat is rather entertaining- I'm disturbed by the guestbook entry signed "Wade" -That wouldn't be THE Wade would it?

Oh, that's new! That was posted within the last ten minutes.

I don't know if that's *the* Wade or not. I'm not familiar with that email address. You should probably ask Erica if you want to be sure. ;)

I'm afraid. I don't want to know. If it's THE Wade
it's better we don't have to know :)

Not a chance. "The" Wade is incoherent & prone to spelling errors, and certainly hasn't been "involved in pagan activism for 14 years." (And has learned not to make claims of specific time periods...he always says "many years" or "for a long time," so nobody knows he's claimed to be pagan for a whole 5 years, mostly by reading Ravenwolf.)

He also has no connection to Wisconson. The Wade lives in Iowa... and is currently signing things "Wade MacMorrighan." Before that it was "Rev. Wade," preceded by "Wiccanwade". He's never just used his first name.

I've found myself assisting with putting out endless little 'fires' and dealing with the destructive aftermath of chaotic individuals that have done more to harm paganism than anything else.

Wade couldn't *spell*, much less coherently structure, a sentence like this. (Wade doesn't call the people he argues with "chaotic individuals." He calls them things like "impudent wenches" and "so-called elders", and is fond of saying they're "questionable.")

Compare to the logic shown in "the Kelts were the Germanic tribes. And, the Kelts existed in Greece/Rome/Norther Europe, etc... So, these languages really are Keltic."

*groans* Okay. So, the Wade in my guestbook isn't evil Wade. Especially in contrast to the quote that you gave.

I've not had any run-ins with "Wiccan Wade" since he signed everything as "Wiccan Wade". Since that was also back when I posted under my given name, that was... a *minimum* of four years ago.

Ah...yes I see.
I haven't had the pleasure of encountering Wade myself. Just heard way too much on WW. :) Lucky me.

You can check out his recent, um, "thoughts" at A&E's forums or his incredibly dead Yahoo group. And here's the origin of his new name, complete with bitching about things happening on unrelated boards.

Warning: his keyboard seems to have a sticky "!" key. At least, he seems to have a great deal of trouble using just one exclamation point.
