Do not email us again it is considered harassment. And for your info your
work is not on our site! It was removed quite a while ago. maybe you need to
check on things before you blow hot hair all over.

Since they've decided to cry harassment and have already proven that they read my journal anyway, I'll just reply right here:

1.) It's not harassment to reply to a threatening message that you left me, but it *is* illegal to threaten to sue me without following through. It's called barratry. So, I fully expect to hear from your attorneys within the next week.

2.) *You* left *me* a message, which I *am* at liberty to reply to. That you left your email address in my guestbook would actually imply that you wish to receive a response.

3.) Maybe *you* need to check dates before you start threatening me. The livejournal post that you're throwing a tantrum about was written *before* you removed my work.

4.) I didn't have a screen shot of my work on your site, which I realized that I should have had after you threatened to sue me. Thank you *very* much for providing me with documentation that you *did*, in fact, steal my work and then remove it. This will make it very easy to get any law suit that you wish to bring against me dismissed, and make it very easy for me to win whatever countersuit I bring against you.

5.) I'm in Canada. So is my host. Good fucking luck trying to get my web site pulled for something that wasn't even written on my site.

6.) You have *just* guaranteed that I will tell *everyone* that I possibly can about how you stole my work and threatened me. Good job.

7.) You're a fucking asshat who needs to get a fucking clue.

before you blow hot hair all over
hot hair?? lol. They need grammar police!
And what??? This moron gave you a screen
shot of your stuff on their page? LOL
OMG, that's funny.
Yeah, always get a screenshot if I learned
anything on WW it was that :)

I didn't get a screen shot, but in admitting that they had removed my work, they admitted that they had it up there to begin with. That's every bit as good as a screen shot. :)

ahh..ok. yeah true it is.
Is your stuff gone at least?

Sure. They removed it on January 31 or February 1. That's not "some time ago". That's "a week ago", at the most. The entry that they're bitching about is from almost two weeks ago.

I hope so. And I hope that every single pagan author who is uncreditted on that site finds out about it and gets that site pulled.

Sites that post nothing but uncreditted information without permission (like much of Witches Well's content) are the cancer of the internet, anyway.

Yeah, pretty much. Maybe we can get them some press if they sue you and other people can find their stuff there and sue them too! yay!

*giggles* That's kind of what I'm hoping for as this gets distributed. Actually, I'm not hoping for a law suit, but I'm hoping that the other authors will get tired of sites like this, band together, and file a collective complaint.

Of course, they had slapped a password protection up on the text files index last time I checked.

They password protected the files? Nice. Reminds me of a site we've seen before :)

Grrr I hate people like that. I'm not an author but I'm an artist and I have seen graphics there that I *know* don't belong to them with no credit. Grr again hehe...
Anyway, FYI, when a few of you guys said you were getting a thing that popped up and asked for a password, I checked every few hours or so and I never got a password thing, I got in every time. I wonder if it's a system to system snafu?

When I first found my work, it wasn't like that. Then, when I asked them to credit my work, suddenly, it required a password to access any of the text files.

It was someone else on the PWA list who had discovered the password thing, and others experienced it as well.

Maybe they took down the password requirement after they realized that I wasn't going to go away?
